Chicken Chow Mein Recipe

Chicken Chow Mein is famous worldwide and people love to eat this in every country. It is a Chinese dish that is the favorite one of kids and adults like it as well. Chow Mein is prepared with mixed winter vegetables like carrots, spring onion, cabbage and capsicum. The main ingredient of this recipe is chicken but you can replace it even with prawn, fish or mutton. Chow Mein is full of nutrition because of its healthy ingredients. It has a great combination with tomato ketchup. Children love to have chicken Chow Mein with it. Boneless Chicken (Cut in strips)                        1 Cup

Spaghetti                                                               1 Packet

Spring Onion (Chopped)                                     1 Cup

Carrot (Grated)                                                     1 Cup

Capsicum (Chopped)                                           1 Cup

Cabbage (Julian Cut)                                            1 Cup

Corn Seeds (Boiled)                                             ½ Cup

Oil                                                                           1 Cup

Salt                                                                          to taste

Black Pepper                                                        1 tsp

Crushed Chilies                                                    1 tsp

Soya Sauce                                                            2 tbsp

Vinegar                                                                  4 tbsp

Chili Sauce                                                             2 tbsp

Ginger Paste                                                         1 tsp

Garlic Paste                                                           1 tsp

Chicken Chow Mein Method:

Take a deep pan and boil 1 liter water in it. Also add 1 tsp salt and 1 tbsp oil in the water. Now add whole pack of spaghetti and cook on medium flame until they become soft. Drain the hot water and rinse the spaghetti with tab water. Now drizzle olive oil or normal cooking oil on the spaghetti to avoid sticking. Keep them aside.

Take a wok and heat up some oil. Now add ginger and garlic paste and fry for 2 – 3 minutes. Add chicken strips and stir fry on high flame at least for 3 – 4 minutes. Now add all other vegetables and mix well. Cook on high flame while stirring for 2 – 3 minutes. Add all spices like salt, black pepper, crushed chilies, vinegar, soya sauce and chili sauce. In the end, add boiled spaghetti and mix well with tossing or stirring.
