Death By Chocolate Cake

Death by Chocolate Cake is full of chocolate flavor. It is the most favorite cake of chocolate lovers. Cocoa powder, chocolate chips, balls and sprinkles are used in this recipe to make the cake more delicious. You can also use dark and melted chocolate to enhance the flavor. It has a great chocolaty taste. You should try this cake for your loved ones.

Ingredients for the Cake Sponge:

Flour                                                                                                          1 cup

Cocoa Powder                                                                                         1/3 cup

Ground Sugar                                                                                          1/2 cup

Melted Butter                                                                                          ½ cup

Baking powder                                                                                        1 teaspoon

Milk                                                                                                           ½ cup

Eggs                                                                                                           2

Fresh Cream                                                                                            ½ Cup

Chocolate Chips                                                                                      1 Cup

Ingredients for the Ganache:

Fresh Cream                                                                                            ½ Cup

Chocolate Chips                                                                                      1 Cup

Ingredients for Cake Decoration:

Cocoa Powder                                                                                         2 – 3 tbsp

Whipped Cream                                                                                      1 Cup

Mix Canned Fruits                                                                                   1 Can

Choco Balls                                                                                               8

Chocolate Sprinkles / Grated Chocolate                                             As Required

Sugar Syrup                                                                                              ½ Cup

Cake Sponge Recipe:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a pan, dust it with some flour and set aside. Whisk together the ground sugar, melted butter, eggs, cocoa powder, baking powder in a bowl. Melt chocolate chips with the fresh cream to make a thick sauce. Add it into the cake batter and mix well. Add flour and fold it with the batter properly. Also add milk to bring a smooth consistency. Pour the batter into the pan. Bake in the oven for 25 – 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Set the cake sponge aside and let it cool on the room temperature.

Chocolate Ganache Recipe:

Take a glass bowl and add chips and fresh cream in it. You can put this bowl into a microwave for 2-3 minutes to dissolve the chocolate or you can also use water bath to dissolve it. For water bath, heat up about 1 inch water in a deep frying pan. Place the glass bowl directly in the water. Keep stirring the cream mixture until it is melted. Set it cool on the room temperature. Ganache is ready for cake topping.

Cake Decoration:

Slice the Cake Sponge into 2 layers of equal thickness. Now moisten the cake halves with sugar syrup to make it wet and soft. Take chilled whipped cream (not frozen) and beat it until it becomes fluffy. Add cocoa powder into the whipped cream and mix well. Now apply whipped cream over one slice and make a bed of mix canned fruits over it. Now cover it with another half of cake sponge. Apply whipped cream on the cake sides. Level the cream with a knife.

Now pour the Ganache over the cake in a manner that it flows down from the cake sides and make a nice texture. Level the Glaze on the cake top with a knife. Now take a whipping bag and fill it with the whipped cream. Fix any nozzle of your choice and start making flowers or different designs on your cake. Put Chocolate balls on the whipped cream flowers. Apply the sprinkles on the sides of the cake. Fresh Cake is ready to serve.
