How to Bake Chocolate Marble Cake

Chocolate Marble cake has a combination of two flavors i.e. chocolate and vanilla. It is baked in a unique way to make a marble texture. These two flavors make this chocolate marble cake amazingly tasty. It is a teatime treat or people also love to have it on breakfast. Let’s bake this soft, fluffy and moist cake with this step by step recipe.

For Chocolate Batter:

All-purpose Flour                 ½ Cup

Ground Sugar                        ½ Cup

Cocoa Powder                       ½ Cup

Melted Butter                        ½ Cup

Vanilla Essence                     1 tsp

Baking Powder                      1 tsp

Eggs                                         2

For Vanilla Batter:

All-purpose Flour                   1 Cup

Ground Sugar                          ½ Cup

Melted Butter                          ½ Cup

Vanilla Essence                       1 tsp

Baking Powder                        1 tsp

Eggs                                           2

Method for Chocolate Marble Cake:

To make chocolate marble cake, beat butter and sugar in a large bowl to make a fluffy batter. Now add eggs one by one and keep beating. In a separate bowl, sift all dry ingredients properly including all-purpose flour, coco powder and baking powder. Now add this mixture of dry ingredients into the eggs batter. Add vanilla essence and mix well with a spatula.

Now repeat the same process to make the cake batter with vanilla flavor. This time we will not use cocoa powder and will use 1 cup of all-purpose flour instead of a ½ cup of it. After preparing these two cake batters, we will pour them in a cake mold. Take a cake mold and grease it from inside. Now pour the 1 tbsp of the chocolate cake batter in the center of the mold. Then take 1 tbsp of vanilla cake batter and pour it right above the chocolate batter so that it forms a ring shape. Keep pouring both batters alternatively in the same manner. Once you have done pouring the cake batter, make different designs on the surface with the help of a toothpick.

Heat up the oven at 200 degree centigrade. Bake the cake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

Note: You can check your cake sponge by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake. If the sponge is ready toothpick will come out dry otherwise it will be covered with the cake batter. Once cake sponge is ready, keep it aside to cool down at the room temperature.
