Bun Kabab is an Asian type of burger. It is a famous street food in Pakistan and India. Bun Kabab is a traditional burger which is prepared with chicken or beef kabab, egg omelet, onion, cabbage, cucumber and chutney. It is spicier than a burger. People love to eat this as a supper. Bun kabab is available almost everywhere in cheap prices.
Ingredients for Bun Kabab:
Bun 6
Mayonnaise ½ cup
Ketchup ½ cup
Salt To taste
Black Pepper ¼ tsp
Green Chutney ½ cup
Cabbage (Julian Cutting) 1 cup
Carrot (Julian Cutting) 1 cup
Cucumber (Sliced) 1 normal sized
Tomatoes (Sliced) 1 normal sized
Onion rings 1 medium sized
Ingredients for Shami Kababs:
Beef Mince 500 grams
Chanay ki daal (gram pulse) 4 tbsp
Garlic Cloves 4
Ginger 50 grams
Onion 2 medium sized
Potato (Peeled and cut in 4 pieces) 1 normal sized
Eggs 2
Whole Red Chilies 8 – 10
Black Cardamom 2
Cinnamon Stick 2 small pieces
Cloves 5-6
Black pepper 8 – 10
Coriander Seeds 1 tsp
Mint (Finely Chopped) ½ Bunch
Fresh Coriander (Finely Chopped) ½ Bunch
Salt To Taste
Green Chilies (Finely Chopped) 3-4
Oil To Fry
Method to make Shami Kababs:
Take a deep cooking pan and add mince, gram pulse, garlic cloves, ginger, potato, whole red chilies, black cardamom, cinnamon sticks, cloves, black pepper, coriander seeds and salt in it. Also cut one onion in 4 pieces and also add it into the pan with all ingredients. Add 2 glasses of water. Cook it on medium flame till all water dries and mince and gram pulse become soften. Now grind all boiled ingredients. Do not add water while grinding.
Add one egg, finely chopped fresh coriander, mint, green chilies and chopped onion into the mixture and mix it well. Now make medium sized patties. Beat one egg and dip patties into the egg before frying. Shallow fry kababs oil.
Method to make Bun Kababs:
Take a Bun and cut it into two equal halves horizontally. Take some oil in a frying pan and fry Bun from both sides to make a nice golden brown color. Now apply some green chatni on the inner side of one half of bun.
Put one shami kabab over it. Take Julian cut cabbage and carrot and mix them with mayonnaise and ketchup. Add a pinch of salt and ¼ tsp black pepper into the mixture and mix it well. Put one table spoon of the mixture over the kabab. Put cucumber and tomato slices and onion rings over it. Cover it with another half of Bun. Bun Kabab is ready to eat. Serve it with green chatni.
