Chicken Tikka Pizza is a combination of western and eastern flavors. It contains traditional Italian spices like Oregano, Basil leaves and lots of cheese. On the other hand, we have also added eastern hot spices in it like red chili, Turmeric, Coriander and Chaat Masala. For this pizza, Chicken tikka is prepared on charcoal or you can also fry marinated chicken in a pan and then cover it with a smoked charcoal for few minutes. It gives the meat a unique smell of charcoal that enhances the pizza flavour. You can also replace chicken meat with prawns or beef. It is a unique and mouth watering pizza flavour. You must try this once.
Ingredients for Pizza Dough:
All-purpose flour 3 cups
Salt 1 teaspoon
Olive oil 2 tablespoons
Sugar 2 tablespoons
Yeast 1/4 ounce
Warm Water/Milk 1 cup
Pizza Dough Recipe:
Dissolve sugar, water and yeast in a small bowl and keep it aside for 5 minutes to bloom. Now take a broad pan and mix all-purpose flour and salt in it. Pour the yeast mixture and oil into the flour and knead smooth dough. Now grease a bowl with oil and place the dough inside it at least for 2 hours to rise. Do not forget to cover the dough with a cling sheet or wet cloth. When dough becomes double in size, punch it down and make small balls. Now roll out the balls on a flat floured surface to make 12 inch big crusts. It makes two medium sized pizza crusts. For baking, apply your favorite sauce, cheese and other toppings. Bake at 230 degrees for 15 minutes until the crust becomes crispy and cheese starts bubbling.
Ingredients for Tomato Sauce:
Tomato Paste 1 small
Chopped onion 1 small
Garlic (Chopped) 1 clove
Basil leaves 3-4
Oregano ½ tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Black pepper ½ tsp
Sugar ½ tsp
Olive Oil to sauté
Vinegar 4-5 tbsp
Red chili powder 2 tsp
Chili flakes 2 tsp
Chili sauce 2 tsp
Tomato ketchup ½ cup
Tomato Sauce Recipe:
Heat up some olive oil and sauté onions until they become translucent. Also add chopped garlic and fry for few minutes so that it turns golden. At this point, add tomato paste and keep stirring. Bring it to a boil and then season it with salt and pepper. Also sprinkle oregano and put basil leaves. Add chili flakes, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, chili powder and vinegar into the sauce and mix well. Cook over the low flame while stirring at least for 15 minutes. You can use it right away or cool down and store into the refrigerator at least for a week.
Ingredients for Chicken Tikka:
Boneless Chicken 1 Kg
Chili Sauce 2 tbsp
Soya Sauce 2 tbsp
Vinegar 3-4 tbsp
Aginomoto 1 tsp
Ketchup 1/2 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Coriander Powder 1 tsp
Turmeric ½ tsp
Oregano ½ tsp
Chaat masala ½ tsp
Red Chili 2 tsp
Chili flakes 1 tsp
Black Pepper ½ tsp
White pepper 1 tsp
Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Ginger paste 1 tbsp
Chicken Tikka Recipe:
Take a wok and add some oil in it. Add ginger garlic paste and then fry Chicken for 10 mins on high flame. Add all above mentioned ingredients and cook for 5 – 10 minutes. To Smoke the Chicken, take a burnt charcoal and put it inside the chicken pan. Drizzle some oil over the charcoal and cover the pan at least for 3-4 minutes. This will give a unique Smokey flavor to the chicken.
Method to Assemble and Bake Pizza:
Take a pizza pan and grease it with few oil drops. Take the pizza crust and place it over the greased pizza pan. Apply all pizza toppings over it one by one. First of all, make a layer of tomato sauce, then make a bed of all vegetables and Chicken Tikka. Last but not the least, Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese, Sprinkle them over the toppings generously. The pizza topics totally depend on your choice and taste. Now put the pizza inside a pre-heated oven on 230 degrees. Bake pizza at least for 15 – 20 minutes until the crust becomes crispy and cheese melts. Pizza can also be baked in a wok or pan. Put an iron stand in the center of the pre-heated wok or pressure cooker. Cover the pan properly so that heat doesn’t come out from the pan. Now place the pizza pan over the iron stand and bake it for 20 – 25 minutes on medium-low flame. Delicious pizza is ready to eat and serve. Enjoy it with your loving family and friends.
