Ingredients:
Flour 1 cup
Castor Sugar ½ cup
Butter ½ cup
Baking powder 1 tsp
Baking soda ¼ tsp
Salt ½ tsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Red food color 1 tbsp
Milk ½ cup
Coco Powder 1 tbsp
Eggs 2
Whipping Cream 1 cup
Icing Sugar ½ cup
Vanilla Essence 1 tsp
Easy Red Velvet Cake Recipe from Scratch:
Take castor sugar and butter in a large bowl and beat them together until a fluffy batter form. Now add eggs and beat them well with the sugar and butter mixture. Use a sieve to strain the flour, baking soda, baking powder, coco powder and salt at least twice. Pour this mixture of dry ingredients into sugar, butter and egg mixture. Try to mix the batter slowly and do not use a beater at this stage. Now add vinegar and red food color and mix it well. In the end, add milk to bring a smooth consistency of the batter.
Prepare a baking mold by applying some oil inside it and cover it with flour to avoid sticking and burning. Now pour the cake batter into the baking pan and bake it on 200 degree centigrade in a preheated oven for around 15 – 20 minutes. To check whether the cake is ready or not you can insert a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean the cake is ready or if it is covered with wet cake batter then it is not ready.
When cake is ready just cool it down on the room temperature. Cut the cake into two equal slices and moisten them with sugar syrup or milk. Now add vanilla essence and icing sugar in the whipping cream and beat it properly. Apply the whipped cream all over the cake and also in between the slices.
