Green Chicken Tikka Pizza has a unique spicy flavor of green chatni. The amazing flavor of this delicious pizza will make you try this mouth-watering recipe again and again. I am a foodie person and I love to try different variations with the authentic recipes. I did the same with the traditional pizza which is usually prepared with a tomato-based pizza sauce. The uniqueness of this green chicken tikka pizza is, I do not add any tomatoes and tomato sauce in it.
This pizza is totally based on green spices like green chilies and fresh green coriander. First, I prepare a green chatni (sauce) with the help of these ingredients including garlic, salt, oregano and vinegar. After that, I marinate the chicken with the green spices too. The Green Chicken Tikka Pizza looks really yummy and it tastes great. You must try this pizza at your home and enjoy it with your family and friends.
Ingredients:
For Pizza Dough:
All-purpose Flour 1 Cup
Yeast 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Dried Italian Spices 1 tsp
Oregano ½ tsp
Oil ½ Cup
For Green Chatni (Sauce):
Fresh Coriander Leaves 2 Cups
Green Chilies 1 Cup
Garlic 6 -7 Cloves
Salt 1 tsp
Lemon 1
Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp
For Green Chicken Tikka:
Boneless Chicken Cubes 1 Cup
Green Chatni 1 Cup
Yogurt ½ Cup
Green Food Color 1 tsp
Charcoal 1 Piece
Oil ½ Cup
Vinegar 2 tbsp
Crushed Red Chili 1 tsp
Oregano 1 tsp
For Toppings:
Mozzarella 1 Cup
Cheddar 1 Cup
Mushrooms Sliced ¼ Cup
Onion Sliced ½ Cup
Black Olives Sliced ¼ Cup
Method for Green Chicken Tikka Pizza:
For Pizza Dough:
Take a large bowl and mix well All-purpose flour, yeast, salt, sugar, dried Italian spices, oregano and oil. Knead a smooth and non-sticky dough. Keep it aside for at least 2 hours for fermentation process.
For Green Sauce:
Add all the ingredients in a blender such as green chilies, garlic, salt, lemon and cumin seeds. Blend them properly to make a thick and smooth paste. Keep it aside. We will use this green sauce to apply on the pizza base and half of it will be used to marinate the chicken.
For Green Chicken Tikka:
Take boneless chicken and marinate it with ½ cup of green chatni, yogurt and green food color. Keep it aside for about 30 minutes. Heat up some oil in a wok, add the marinated chicken and cook on medium flame. Keep stirring time to time. Once the chicken becomes tender and all water dries up, add vinegar, oregano and crushed red chili. Now burn a charcoal piece and place it over the cooked chicken, drizzle some oil over the charcoal and cover the lid for 5 – 8 minutes. It will give a smoky flavor to the green chicken tikka.
Assembling Green Chicken Tikka Pizza:
Take the pizza dough and role it on a flat surface and give it a round loaf shape. The thickness should not be more than ½ inch. Now apply green chatni sauce on it. Spread the Green chicken tikka over the sauce and also spread other toppings like olives, mushrooms and onion. In the end, cover the whole pizza with the mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Bake it inside the oven on 200 degree centigrade for 10 – 15 minutes. Green Chicken Tikka Pizza is ready to serve. Enjoy hot with your family and friends.
