Khoya peda is an Asian sweet mithai which is very popular in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. This is prepared with fresh khoya and sugar. The preparation time for khoya peda is 20 to 25 minutes. You just need to fry khoya until it is golden brown in color and then make delicious khoya peda with it. Add sugar as per your taste and garnish these yummy khoya pedas with pistachio or almonds. You can serve these khoya pedas fresh or keep them inside the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. Follow the recipe below to get the authentic taste of khoya pedas.
Ingredients:
Khoya ½ Kg
Ground Sugar ½ Cup
Ground Sugar (For Coating) ½ Cup
Pistachio Flakes 1 tbsp
Milk ½ Cup
Ghee/Butter 1 tbsp
Ilaichi Powder 1 tsp
Khoya Peda Method:
Take a deep wok and add some ghee/butter in it. Now add khoya and fry it on a low flame. Keep stirring and add milk gradually to avoid burning. Fry it until its color becomes golden brown. Now turn off the flame and slightly cool down this mixture on room temperature. But do not cool down completely otherwise khoya will become hard and it will be difficult to make khoya pedas. Now add ground sugar and ilaichi powder in it and mix well. Make Khoya peda balls and cover them with sugar powder. Garnish these khoya peda balls with pistachio flakes. Serve fresh or keep them in the refrigerator for 3 – 4 days.
