Method for Motichoor Ladoo:
Make a thick batter by dissolving gram flour with water. Add Baking Soda and mix well. Divide the batter into three portions with a ratio of 2:1:1 and add yellow, green and red colors separately to each portion.
Note: Yellow portion should be double than the quantities of green and red portions.
Heat up some oil for frying. Take a perforated spoon. Pour some besan batter on the perforated spoon while positioning it over the hot oil in the pan. Press the batter with a large spoon so that it falls down into the oil in the form of small bondies. Fry bondies till 45 sec or 1 min to bring a soft texture.
Note: Don’t make crisp bondies otherwise they will not absorb sugar syrup.
After removing the bondies from the hot oil, add them directly to the sugar syrup.
Note: Sugar Syrup should be hot.
Repeat this process to make bondies of all three colors, yellow, red and green. Now add melon seeds into the bondies and mix well. Apply some oil on your palms to shape the motichoor ladoos.
Note: Mixture should be warm when preparing the ladoos.
Garnish Motichoor Ladoos with the melon seeds and raisins.
